Situated on a hill top above the village of Moya (Cuenca), currently the castle is a sad reminder of the time passing.
When arriving from the road CYV-5003 from Tierras De Moya direction, the castle looks tiny and insignificant. The true size is revealed after getting closer.
When we visited, the castle was deserted, nobody at the entry and the gate was wide open.
There are a few building still in good shape/restored, remains of streets, former houses.
It’s a bit far away from everything, but well worth the visit.
